Day 1 Marrakech

transportation to the hotel will be provided via a luxurious Vito car that can accommodate 1-4 passengers.

Day 2a vehicle equipped with a bike stand and necessary tools will be available for assistance.

Depart from your hotel at 9:30 am with a driver and journey into the mountains. You will enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. Make a stop at either Asni Berber Market on Saturday or Tahnaoute Market on Tuesday, where you can browse through the offerings and perhaps purchase some souvenirs. Whether you are looking for unique gifts or simply observing the local way of life, it promises to be an enjoyable and eye-opening experience.

Travel along the picturesque route that winds around the plateau du Kik, a stunning area with lush green fields in the winter. Pass through quaint villages where you can see children playing in the fields and by the roadside. You can also stop at one of the small food stalls in a village to have lunch and taste delicious tagines and Berber omelettes. This trip offers a simple way to witness some of the most beautiful views in the area and experience the way people live outside of the cities.

day 3there will be a support vehicle with a bike stand and equipment.

After having breakfast, you will set out from your hotel at 9 am to Toubkal National Park. The first part of the journey involves climbing the Tamatert Pass, which is located at 2280m above sea level. This warm-up portion takes place on a well-maintained road that offers stunning views of the Imenane Valley below, with terraced fields showcasing different cultures and arid slopes. As we continue, we will pass through beautiful Berber villages built into the mountainside, with the majestic peaks of the High Atlas mountains in the background often covered in snow. Following a thrilling descent, our mountain biking adventure will conclude in Asni in the early afternoon.

day 4we will visit Imlil, Kasbah Telouet, and Kasbah Ait Benhaddou in Ouarzazate.

Early this morning, we departed from Marrakech and made our way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. This ancient fortified community and trading post showcases pre-desert earthen architecture from the 17th century. After driving through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) to Telouet, we began our mountain biking adventure. Along the way, we stopped to explore the Glaoui Kasbah of Telouet, once the home of Thami El Glaoui, the Lord of the Atlas during the French occupation. Cycling through picturesque Berber villages and the Ounila Valley, we eventually reached the breathtaking Kasbah village of Ait Benhaddou before driving on to Ouarzazat.

Day 5 Ait Ben Haddou- Dades

Today, we wake up early to start the most exciting part of our biking adventure. After leaving Ouarzazat, we drive for an hour and visit an ancient troglodyte settlement. Our biking journey begins in Kalaat M’gouna on unpaved roads, where we may see nomads caring for their animals as we head towards Dades Gorges, located between the High Atlas Mountains and the Jbel Saghro Mountains. Along the way, we will pass numerous kasbahs, or fortresses, built by the Berbers for defence, perched on the cliffs. We will also encounter Berbers living in caves that have been passed down through generations. If we are invited, we will stop for a refreshing cup of mint tea and learn more about their culture.

Day 6 Dades - M'hamid

Our biking adventures start in M’hamid where we explore different towns, enjoying the beautiful historical views along the way. We make stops at various locations and villages to have traditional Moroccan mint tea with local families. On our way back to M’hamid, we take a different route that includes riding through fields and palm trees on paved roads, rather than sand or dunes. Please note that this alternative route may have an extra cost.

day 7we will be travelling from M'hamid to the Chgaga Desert Camp. It is not recommended to bike through this terrain.

Following breakfast, we will have ample time to explore Mhamid and its surrounding areas, including the palm groves. We will then continue our journey towards the gateway to the Sahara Desert, Mhamid. Along the way, we will make a stop in the historic town of Tamgroute, which dates back to the 16th-century Saadian dynasty. Here, we will visit an ancient Coran library and an underground Kasbah. Upon reaching Mhamid, where the Draa Valley meets the end of civilization, we will have lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. After lunch, we will embark on an off-road drive to the Erg Chegaga Desert. Upon arrival, you will ride camels to witness the breathtaking sunset.

day 8we will travel from Chgaga to Marrakech with an 8-hour drive back to marrakech

After enjoying a sunrise over the dunes and a delicious breakfast at the campsite, we will head back to Marrakech, passing through the scenic Draa Valley. We will stop for lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing our drive to Marrakech, taking in the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and traditional villages along the way. The final stretch of our journey will be through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, a marvel of French engineering that offers stunning views at 2,260 meters above sea level. This road is often considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

Day 9 Marrakech - Agafay

We will pick you up from the hotel at 9:00 and drive to the Agafay Desert, also known as the Magic Desert, a beautiful landscape near Marrakech. We will explore the area and then head to Amizmiz Dam for some mint tea next to the lake, 350 meters long and 60 meters high. This man-made lake stretches for 7 kilometres and is easily accessible to all. We will then drive past wheat fields and villages to the Kik Plateau, a limestone formation in the Atlas Mountains that offers stunning views of the valleys below. After that, we will take a track to Asni and finally reach the village of Imlil, where we will have lunch. This charming village at the base of the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal, offers a peaceful atmosphere with friendly locals and traditional stone houses. 11th May.
